🔦 Client Spotlight: Charles Success Story

Depending on your workout regimes or sport, the demands of the body vary. In general, if you're asking your body to do "X" movement in your workout or sport, possessing the adequate mobility & strength of our joints should be a huge priority!

Let me explain with my client Charles who is an avid bowler...

Charles suffered with elbow and shoulder pain for months and months. He tried PT, chiropractic, acupuncture, and a host of other treatments. However, the missing link was that no one was looking at his movements to really figure out what was required out of his body for what he wanted to do, which was to bowl.

So, many of his treatments focused on working on the painful area (the elbow itself), which was not addressing the actual CAUSE of the problem.

When taking him through specific shoulder motions that are required in bowling such as bringing the arm backwards before letting it go for a strike....he was severely limited.

So, since there was a huge discrepancy between what he was "asking" his body to do in his sport and what he actually was able to move into...this is what was leading to his compensations in his arm - producing his elbow pain.

So, what was the fix? Addressing specific areas of the body in a with specific exercises to actually improve the motion he needed in order to bowl pain-free, without compensation.

In this video I show you:

  • How movement compensations could lead to pain
  • Why you should focus on what you are "asking" from your body to do
  • How to fix movement compensations
