Knee dominant vs. hip dominant movement strategies. There's a time and place for both. However, when we are dealing with a knee problem/issue and we continue to hammer knee dominant movements, this can further exacerbate knee issues/pain. The idea here is to help lower the load/intensity to this region via hip dominant movements. This way, the knee region "clams down" and can start to progressive build back the strength to tolerate more loading/stress while switching to a hip dominant movement pattern in the short term.
