Trap Tightness Leading To Neck Pain (Learn Why) 🤯

If you are anything like me, you have experienced that nagging upper trap tightness and stiffness, which ultimately leads to the neck sparking up in pain or discomfort. This is a common problem, which is typically based on repetitive movements, postural positions, movement compensations etc.

In this video, I discuss how mobility issues result in the upper trap contributing to the neck stiffness/tightness. I show you how a mobility issue at the shoulder leads to this problem!

For example, bringing your arm behind your back requires two motions at the shoulder: internal rotation and extension. Now, if you lack these motions, what’s common is to shrug the shoulder up toward the ear to compensate for the lack of motions at the shoulder to ultimately bring the arm behind the back. That’s just one example, but those motions play a role in other activities such as in working out.

So, the fix? Addressing the shoulder mobility in a specific way to improve on the range of motion to ultimately limit the compensation at the upper trap.

In this video you’ll learn:

  • How the shoulder can cause this upper trap/neck issue mobility/flexibility issues can cause neck issues
  • Why you need to address the shoulder to ultimately help the neck pain or discomfort
  • The exact steps you can take to improve your mobility
