The knee joint is stuck in between two major joints: the hip above and the ankle below. When addressing a knee problem, focusing locally at the knee is missing the bigger picture of solving the actual knee problem! Specific strengthening at the hip & ankle is crucial in decreasing the compensations that tends to happen at the knee. Once these areas are focused on, compensations massively decrease, ultimately improving the functionality of the knee!
Step 2: Optimizing Foundational Movement Mechanics
We as humans have foundational movement patterns. We squat, hinge, and lunge. A knee problem can linger around when these foundational movements are not prioritize or are being compensated for.
